Principles
The principles of a presentation come in three groups. Those of a figure, in any document of the family, form a fourth. Each follows the format of the reader-ergonomics principles.
| Group | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Pace: the listener cannot reread | what appears on screen, and when, for a listener who cannot stop or replay |
| Slide: what the room sees | the headline, the evidence, the legibility and the colour of one slide |
| Talk: the speaker and the hour | the structure of the talk, the speaker's body, and the questions |
| Figure: how a figure is drawn | how a figure or a diagram is made, reached, laid out, labelled and judged, in any document |
