0002: Keep the name, name the baseline
Decision: The review found no single field name for the problem, so the repository keeps its provisional name, and B1 is the baseline the maintainer's practice is compared with.
Status: accepted, 2026-11-02. Shape: decision record.
Context
- Record 0001 left the name provisional until the review's frame step.
- The frame step found parts, not a whole: the design science research process for the steps, evidence-based research for the review, project organization for the trail (frame).
- Two guides on the trail, Noble 2009 and Wilson 2017, write "project" for one person's work, as this repository does.
- The review ends only when it names a baseline (baseline).
Decision
- The repository keeps the name
reader-ergonomics-project. - B1 is the baseline: the six activities of Peffers 2006 for the steps, and the project organization of Noble 2009 and Wilson 2017 for the trail.
- B1 is a named comparison, not a result. It moves when a better-evidenced model or a measured study replaces it.
Consequences
- No address changes, and the neighbours' links stay valid.
- A reader who searches for the design science process will not find it in the name. The front page and the frame carry that term.
- Bad: a name that fits one part of the field only, and a baseline taken from a synthesis rather than a test.
