One genre per extension
Rule: An extension applies the standard to one genre and holds only what that genre changes; a principle the standard already holds is linked, never copied.
Grade: convention.
Why
- A repository attacks one problem, and a wider one makes every user depend on everything in it.
- A copied principle drifts from its source; a link cannot.
- Limit: no measured result says that splitting by genre helps readers; the grade is a convention.
History
- 2026-10-28: the standard was declared done and its branches became separate repositories.
- 2026-10-29: presentations split from academic writing, since their two reviews shared 2 of 370 works.
- 2026-10-29: a boundary that keeps moving is in the wrong place; three releases in a row forcing changes in one extension move the shared part up, or merge the two.
