# Learning materials > How to write material meant to be learned (a lesson, worked examples, an exercise sheet, a study guide, flashcards, and the questions inside them) so that someone who studies it alone retains it and uses it on new problems. It extends the reader-ergonomics standard; four multivocal reviews (420 sources) give the evidence for five shapes of study documents and their checks. Each page's markdown source is served at the same path with a .md extension. This index is written by hand; AGENTS.md says to keep it in step. ## The repository - [Learning materials](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/README.md): how to write a lesson and take your own copy, the five rules that matter, scope, where it sits, the four reviews - [Decisions](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/decisions/README.md): one record per choice that shapes the repository - [Changelog](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/CHANGELOG.md): every release, newest first, with each move of the standard's pin ## Shapes - [Shapes](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/README.md): the five shapes, how they fit together, the markup the checks read - [Lesson](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/lesson.md): objectives, the explanation with its traps refuted, a question block per part, key points - [Question block](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/question-block.md): recall and application questions, tagged by objective, answers folded and explained - [Exercise sheet](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/exercise-sheet.md): worked example, completion problem, problems per type; a mixed review; hints before answers - [Deck](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/deck.md): a header page and a TSV of cards, one question and one answer each, linked to their sections - [Study guide](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/study-guide.md): one problem solved per type, traps, variants, an error grid, a date to redo, a method sheet - [Examples](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/shapes/examples/README.md): one document of each shape, on binary search ## Evidence - [Evidence](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/evidence/README.md): the four reviews and the method they share - [Practice questions](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/evidence/practice-questions/README.md): how the questions inside study material are written, placed and answered - [Flashcards](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/evidence/flashcards/README.md): how prompts for spaced review are written, made and kept - [Exercise sets](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/evidence/exercise-sets/README.md): how a set of exercises is ordered and supported, from worked example to problem - [Instructional text](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/evidence/instructional-text/README.md): how an explanatory text is built around its content: objectives, terms, summaries, boxes - [Bibliography](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/evidence/bibliography.md): every cited work, once ## Contributing - [Contributing](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics-learning/AGENTS.md): rules for changing this repository - [Standard](https://tewf.github.io/reader-ergonomics/standard.md): the reader-ergonomics card this repository obeys
